Aranui  Speedway   (closed)    See Christchurch speedways.  1949 to 1959.

Ashburton Speedway. South of Christchurch, South Island

Baypark Speedway   Baypark is located at the junction of State Highway’s 2 and 29, Mount Maunganui.

Blanford Park   (closed)      Early speedway track in central Auckland in 1945.

Christchurch Speedways  1949–1959 Read about Monica Park, Halswell, Aranui, and  Ellesmere.

Cromwell Speedway     Between Cromwell and Queenstown. South Island.

Eastern States Speedway    Near Blenheim at Renwick, South Island.

Ellesmere Speedway     South of Christchurch near Lake Ellesmere. Around 1959

Finlayson Park   Dargaville stockcar track, Top of North Island.

Forest Lake Speedway   (closed)    A track near Hamilton that closed in 1980

Gisborne Speedway         Known as Eastland Group Raceway

Gloucester Park  (closed)    This track in Onehunga, Auckland, was used for a short time in 1935.

Greenstone Park  Track is in Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island

Hastings Twyford Stadium   (closed)  Omahu Road, Hastings.  (Was running 1949 to 1952 but little known about it as yet) Can anyone help?

Henning’s Speedway  (closed)    This 2 mile track was possibly Auckland’s first true “speedway” but only lasted two years. from 1928.

Huntly  (1st track now closed)      Near Hamilton.  No dates or data known. Some photo’s on page.

Hutt Speedway  (See Taita),  (closed)      Hutt Valley near Wellington. 1947 to 1956   (Buy the book of this track by Allan Batt)

Island ParkDunedin    Friendship Drive,  Waldronville, Dunedin

Kahuterawa   (closed)   Manawatu ran in 1982/83. Need more detail. Can you help?

Kaikohe Speedway            North of  Whangerei near Bay of Islands.

Kihikihi Speedway  Waikato.

Kilbirnie   (closed)   Near current Wellington airport. 1929 to 1939

Meeanee  Napier.   Hawkes Bay 1962 to current day.

Meremere Speedway    (closed)    Sixty Km south of Auckland.  

Meremere Dirt Track    This track runs vehicles not used on other tracks in NZ Near Hamilton.

Moore Park  Speedway   Home of the Ronnie Moore Riding School near Christchurch.

Morrinsville Speedway  (closed)  Track opened 1937 and closed 1949.

Mystery Creek  (closed)   –Hamilton.  ran from 1972 to 1978 ?

Napier   (closed)   Kennedy Road. Hawkes Bay. 1958 to 1962

Nelson    Known as Top of the South (Island) 1968 until present day.

Olympic Park  (closed)   Also known as Sarawai Park.   Parnell, Auckland. 1949 to 1961

Oreti Park            Sandy Point in Invercargill, New Zealand, (The most Southern Track in the World?)

Oxford Speedway  On Carlton Rd. Oxford. North West of Christchurch

Pahautanui    (closed)      Practice track near Wellington. Early 1950’s

Palmerston North    Showgrounds. 1930 to date

Penlee Speedway      (closed)      (first and second)   Masterton,   north of Wellington.

Rangeview Speedway  Waharoa, near Matamata

Riverside Speedway Invercargill, Bottom of South Island

Rosebank     An Auckland track for solo bikes, quarter midgets and Sidecars.

Rotorua Stockcar Club     A track 20 minutes out of Rotorua in central North Island.

Rotorua Rugby Park  Speedway      (closed)      A temporary Rotorua track used once in 1965.

Ruapuna  / Templeton    Current track in Christchurch now known as Powerbuilt Speedway.

Sarawai Park   (See Olympic Park)

Solway Park  (closed)   A track on Masterton Show grounds in the 1950’s

Sunset Speedway   Wishart Raceway, North Beach, Westport

Taita Speedway   (closed)      1947 to 1956 in Hutt Valley just north of Wellington.

Tahuna -Dunedin  (closed)     1928-29 and 1949–?? (We know it was running in December 1952 but struggle after that)

Taipa Speedway    Near Kaitaia in the far north of the North Island. Run stock and saloon cars.

Tai Tapu   (closed)           Near Christchurch 1948 to 1949?

Templeton   See also Christchurch speedways and Ruapuna / Templeton.

Te Marua Raceway   Hutt Valley, started 1968, north of Wellington. Still running today.

Te Rapa Speedway    (closed)   Was located on the outskirts of Hamilton. Ran Stockcars for a short period in 1950’s

Tokoroa Speedway          Can anyone help with info on that track?

Waikaraka Park    Auckland stock car track started in 1960’s.

Waiwakaiho Speedway   (closed)  New Plymouth’s speedway from 1951 to 1970

Wanganui Oceanview   Current speedway near Wanganui airport

Warkworth Speedway        It was running in about 1990 for two seasons. Can anyone supply more info?

Western Springs   Auckland 1935 until 2025 ???

Woodford Glen Speedway   North East of Christchurch near Kaiapoi
